さて、いよいよタコヤキとイカリングを車体に取り付けて完成だ。
Here, Takoyaki and Angel Eyes will be installed into the car body.
裏側に３つのインバーター(変圧器)が見えるだろう。通常は２本のCCFL管に対して一つのインバーターを取り付けるのだが、一本のCCFL管に一つのインバーターを取り付けた方が明るく光る。
You can see there are three transformers(inverters) at the back of each side.
Because I found out that the CCFL tube could become brighter if one transformer was installed corresponding to one CCFL tube than sharing with two CCFL tube.
配線はできるだけキッチリと取り回す。ハイビームとロービームでは別のインバーターを使っている。特にタコヤキに入れた二本のCCFL管はそれぞれ別のインバーターで駆動している。これはおそらく誰もやってないだろう(笑)。
Try to make cables neat and tidy....
High beam and low beam have different transformers.
Two CCFL tubes inside CIMA lamp each side have their own transformers.
I believe nobody do this way before....Ha,Ha!!
ロービームのHIDが点灯しているときには、CCFL管が点灯する必要はないと思う。そこで、二つの４ピンのリレーを用意した。
But I don't think I need the CCFL inside CIMA lamp is still lit
when low beam (HID) is being lit.
So I bought two relays with four pins....
これが考えた回路だ。ロービームのHIDを点灯させると、タコヤキ内のCCFL管が消灯するようになっている。
That's the circuit in my thought.
While I turn on HID as low beam, the CCFL inside CIMA lamp
will be truned off automatically.
It can save the electric power of battery.
さて、初代のCCFL付きライトと交換するときが来た。フロントウィンカー以外は予定通りだったが、これをうまくタコヤキのリフレクタにフィットさせるようにいくつかの部分を切り取った。
It's time to replace the old generation of the first CCFL lamps.
Everything progressed on the schedule, except TURN INDICATOR.
I had to cut some parts to fit it to the fat CIMA reflector.
これが、タコヤキ＋イカリング(デーモンアイ)だ！
That's the first look of CIMA lamp on E34 with angel eyes (so-called "demon eyes").
HIDを点灯したところ。
With HID.
もちろん、光軸も調整しておく。
Light axis adjustment.
壁に向かって照射したところ。
Diffusing on the wall.
暗い道で点灯させたところ。
Diffusing on the dark lane.
これがE34のタコヤキだ。
That's the TAKOYAKI on E34.
さらば、以前のキラーアイ！
